The progressions and melodies are great, but I would recommend more mastering. The bass, plucks, kick, and chord all compete and clash. Keep up the great work!

Thx for letting me know =) Thing is that i dont really know anything about mastering a track, so that may explain why ;) Thx for your advice except for that =)

Loved the base, nice and funky. The beat was excellent as well, I can't really find any problems with this track. Nicely done again, my friend!

I appreciate that! I went through some of your, stuff, too! DEFINITELY digging what I heard. I can tell you're a bass freak like myself, haha! Love basslines, man. I'll make sure to keep up with you :)

Really dig this track, but like the person below me, I didn't really like that beep in the beginning. I was pleasantly surprised by the chillness of this song afterwards though, and I loved the synthesizers you were using. I'd make it longer and master it, then post it. Keep it up!

Thanks, man. Actually the beeps in the beginning were really more or so to keep the groove of the overall project going, actually. The beeps represent Pheonix Wright talking as he gets ready for the next track, which is the court theme. But yeah, I can see how by itself it can be annoying, lol. If you heard the whole project, you'd see what I mean, though. I appreciate everything you said, man

The intro was definitely impressive, as was the rest of the track. The only issue with the orchestral intro was that a few of the chord progressions seemed to change a tad to fast. I dug the ending synth though, holy crap a blast from the past. Reminded both of us of the old Starcraft OST. Ah, good times.

What did you use for the piano? VST or soundfont?

johnfn responds:

Hah. You say the intro was too short, the last guy said it was too long. Maybe you're right and I should have slowed the chord prog down... I did kinda get that impression. Thanks for the review.

Piano: Um, I think it was from the big NG collection of orchestral soundfonts (along with the strings). Thanks for the review.

This is nicely done. The idea behind anyone rating this below a 4 is crazy. The vocals were perfect, loved the bass choices, and you didn't loose any quality in the melody in the track. I can't even critique your drum sample choices because they were perfect for this track. Amazing!

Hay, just wanted to suggest a tip and comment on a few things about this track. The primary thing is about your production process. My partner suggests that, since your synth pattern is so repetitive (not a bad thing imo) that you should perhaps sample it. Record it in Edison and loop it or something? It would lower the amount of CPU power and enable you to continue to work on it.

Overall, the song was nicely done. A few of the sound effects were a little to loud, but other than that, no real other gripes. I have to commend you on your drum processing. The perfect volume and power. Keep it up!

KrisKrosNL responds:

Actually, I've used no synths; it's an arp that plays the repeated pattern.

Damn, why didn't I think of sampling the repeated pattern in the first place? That could have saved me so much time and CPU! ;_;

I should have mastered the effects, but it was impossible to master it due to overloaded CPU.

Thanks for the review.

Nicely-composed with all the sampled orchestral pieces. The screaming bass seemed to be a tad too loud, but nothing too bad.

I would personally suggest a more powerful snare. Something with more pop in it, but that may just be personal preference.

Keep up the good work!

I love the glitch hop-esque drum beat. Definitely some awesome stuff. The radio chatter was also processed pretty well, let alone the nice placement. It didn't feel overbearing throughout the track, and added some atmosphere to the track.

The only major complaint I had with this track was that it was not long enough. :D

galeXeth responds:

thank you so much!

The synthesizer melody for this provided the majority of the atmosphere this song, very nicely done there. The orchestral strings, in my opinion, were also a nice touch. It provided a unique style to this song. The only two major complaint I have with this track is that the bass is not nearly as prominent as it should have been. Additionally, adding some sound effects would have definitely given more color to this, though it would not have been a necessity since it is a soundtrack loop after all.

Otherwise, keep up the good work!
